Our client is looking for an experienced Planner to join their consultancy that has a large planning team nationwide. They work across a wide range of sectors and projects from small residential extensions to large-scale regeneration schemes. Areas of specialism include urban mixed-use developments, housing, retail, sports venues, energy infrastructure, master planning, urban design, environmental impact assessments, community engagement, and heritage planning.
Town Planner Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit planning applications for a wide range of developments
- Assemble evidence and documentation required for planning submissions and appeals
- Conduct research into planning policy, site constraints, and development potential
- Liaise with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the planning process
- Contribute to both major regeneration schemes and smaller-scale local projects
Town Planner Requirements
- RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, written and verbal
- Proactive and collaborative attitude
- Full UK Driving License
