Job Title: Town Planner

Location: Leeds

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting the UK's leading purpose-built residential care home developer. With over 30 years of experience and innovation in the sector, their vertically integrated model has allowed them to evolve and perfect their care home designs.

As part of this success, their construction division is now seeking a Town Planner to join a reputable and thriving Planning Team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a close-knit, well-respected, and successful team.

Location: Garforth, East Leeds

The Role

You will be responsible for managing planning project work in-house, including:

  • Undertaking initial site appraisals and evaluations.
  • Preparing written reports, planning statements, and submitting planning application documentation.
  • Meeting and negotiating with Planning Officers and stakeholders.
  • Participating in Planning Committee and Appeal processes, where required.
  • Taking ownership of projects, ensuring delivery to high standards.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a planning role (private or public sector).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and a genuine team player.
  • Keen interest in the full land and planning process.
  • Full UK driving licence.
