Description

The Construction Solicitor will be:

  • Providing timely legal and commercial advice to mitigate risks on a global portfolio of projects.
  • Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising various contractual documents, including consultancy appointments and sub-consultancy agreements.
  • Ensuring adherence to governance policies during contract negotiations and assisting in justifying any necessary deviations.
  • Supporting the proper operation and administration of contracts and the legal framework.
  • Delivering training to promote awareness of legal and commercial issues relevant to the industry.
  • Developing and implementing systems and procedures to enhance team efficiency.
  • Providing support to Project Directors and Partners in contract negotiations and administration during project delivery.
  • Collaborating with other business service functions to resolve issues inclusively.

Profile

The Construction Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent NQ+
  • Experienced in construction law and the construction industry, with preferably demonstrable experience in general commercial law.
  • Skilled in drafting and reviewing contracts.
  • Proficient in negotiation and problem-solving.
  • Commercially minded with strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
