This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Litigation department of this leading law firm based in central Leeds. This is a busy and varied role where you will be providing key support to their Commercial Litigation, Property Litigation, Construction and Regulatory teams.
The successful applicant will be an experienced Legal Secretary, have excellent organisational skills and experience of supporting a litigation team.
Duties will include:
Typing of correspondence and documents - producing/amending/formatting
Filing/scanning/printing
Document collation/preparation of legal bundles
Raising/paying invoices
Receive incoming telephone calls and deal with queries or take messages as appropriate
Arrange meetings and travel for fee earners as required
Prepare monthly bills and billing reports for clients
Maintain an accurate and up to date filing system
File closing in preparation for archiving
Undertaking searches, anti-money laundering and conflict checks
Undertake ad-hoc projects alongside day-to-day tasks
Support wider secretarial group with covering team absence
Participating in reception cover as required
Prioritise own workload and ensure that personal objectives are reviewed and met
Applicants must have:
Previous experience as a legal secretary/legal administrator
Experience with case management systems
Experience supporting a related litigation team
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
Numerate
Prioritisation and organisational skills
Good communication skills, written and verbal
Able to work to deadlines
