Key Responsibilities:As an Assistant Conveyancer, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing property transactions from start to finish in accordance with firm procedures
- Liaising with clients, third parties, and legal colleagues to ensure smooth process progression
- Providing administrative support to fee earners and partners
- Drafting and preparing legal documents
- Assisting with billing processes and ensuring timely payments, working closely with the Accounts team
- Handling general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning
- Keeping up to date with legal developments and best practices
- Contributing to a positive and efficient working environment
- Supporting process improvements and assisting with any other ad-hoc tasks as required
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- At least 6 months' experience in either commercial or residential property (with a preference for commercial property experience)
- A genuine passion for client care and a desire to continue learning and developing professionally
- The ability to manage tasks independently, whilst working as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A professional, client-focused approach to all interactions
- Solid IT skills and the ability to prepare legal documents efficiently
While not essential, we would be particularly interested in candidates who also possess:
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a flexible mindset
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A good attendance record, or a reasonable explanation for any gaps in employment
