Job Title: Paralegal - ConveyancingSalary: £23,000 - £25,000Location: Leeds, West YorkshireContract: Full time, PermanentWe're excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join our dynamic team at our Leeds City Centre office. In this role, you will provide vital support to our solicitors on a wide range of commercial property matters, managing cases from inception to completion. We are looking for individuals with at least 6 months of experience in either commercial or residential property law, who are passionate about delivering top-tier client service. As you grow your skills, your responsibilities and the variety of work you undertake will naturally expand.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload from start to finish, ensuring compliance with office procedures and accounts protocols.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, third parties, and fee earners to address inquiries.
- Provide administrative assistance to fee earners, solicitors, and partners as needed.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, and handle billing and payment processes.
- Collaborate with the Accounts team to process cheques and manage disbursements.
- Undertake essential administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and document management.
- Stay updated on the latest legal developments and best practices within commercial property law.
- Contribute to fostering a productive and safe working environment.
- Assist in enhancing office procedures and take on additional tasks as required.
- At least 6 months' experience in Commercial or Residential Property (Commercial Property experience is preferred).
- Strong client care and communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanour.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in IT, with experience in legal document preparation and office systems.
- Ability to represent the firm in a professional and confident manner.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- A solid attendance record, or a reasonable explanation for any absences.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
