We’re currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic facilities maintenance team in Leeds. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering stability, development, and a rewarding working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a customer-facing, highly responsive maintenance service within a large building environment.

  • Undertake a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to a consistently high standard.

  • Manage and maintain plant rooms, including steam and pump set systems.

  • Deliver maintenance across various building services, including:

    • Heating and domestic water systems

    • Air handling units

    • LV electrical distribution and switchgear

    • Fire alarms and emergency lighting

    • Electrical control systems & BMS

    • Standby generating plant

  • Offer technical guidance and support to other maintenance team members.

  • Provide regular progress reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.

  • Undertake training to gain Authorised Person status in line with relevant HTMs.

  • Work with a high level of multi-skilling and flexibility to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience.

  • Strong experience managing plant rooms, pumps, or steam systems.

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality maintenance work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
