We’re currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic facilities maintenance team in Leeds. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering stability, development, and a rewarding working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
	Provide a customer-facing, highly responsive maintenance service within a large building environment. 
- 
	Undertake a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to a consistently high standard. 
- 
	Manage and maintain plant rooms, including steam and pump set systems. 
- 
	Deliver maintenance across various building services, including: - 
		Heating and domestic water systems 
- 
		Air handling units 
- 
		LV electrical distribution and switchgear 
- 
		Fire alarms and emergency lighting 
- 
		Electrical control systems & BMS 
- 
		Standby generating plant 
 
- 
		
- 
	Offer technical guidance and support to other maintenance team members. 
- 
	Provide regular progress reports and maintain accurate maintenance records. 
- 
	Undertake training to gain Authorised Person status in line with relevant HTMs. 
- 
	Work with a high level of multi-skilling and flexibility to ensure seamless operations. 
Requirements:
- 
	Mechanical NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification. 
- 
	Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience. 
- 
	Strong experience managing plant rooms, pumps, or steam systems. 
- 
	Proven ability to deliver high-quality maintenance work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. 
- 
	Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
