Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer - Sherburn In Elmet

Monday to Friday 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm rotating weekly.

The family run business has been going from strength to strength for over 40 years and has a small friendly atmosphere where your not just a number.

The engineering team consists of 4 people which will include the successful candidate for this position.

So what will you be doing?

To identify, report, and service / repair equipment or processes in order they become more efficient, more cost effective, safer to operate, and more environmentally friendly; the main aims being to limit downtime and maximise output, in a safe and food-safe manner, in line with Company Policies and Procedures.

Fabrication such as welding will be required to save the company revenue having to outsource welding work, not essential but would be an advantage in this role,

To ensure that internal customer requirements are met, by providing electrical, mechanical, and engineering services to Operations and the Site, in order to operate equipment and services safely and efficiently.

To maintain and improve the equipment effectiveness and operability by helping implement an effective PPM system and other methods of monitoring performance or wear and tear.

To provide an efficient breakdown response service, including via the On-Call system, in order to minimise downtime and maximise output, Quality, and Safety.
