Freelance Site Manager – Fit-Out & Refurbishment (Leisure & Hospitality)
Location: Nationwide (UK Travel Required)
Contract Type: Freelance
Day Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience) Accommodation covered when working away
Start Date: Immediate start with on going work

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Freelance Site Manager to join their project delivery team on a nationwide basis, overseeing a variety of fast-paced fit out and refurbishment projects across the leisure, hospitality, hotel, and retail sectors.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe running of sites from mobilisation through to completion, delivering high-quality finishes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of site operations including trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with programme, drawings, and client specifications.

  • Lead on-site health and safety, including inductions, toolbox talks, and site compliance checks.

  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and office-based support teams.

  • Monitor quality control and snagging processes throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and site documentation.

  • Manage logistics, deliveries, and site housekeeping in busy and sometimes live environments.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Site Manager on fit-out/refurbishment projects in the leisure, hospitality, or retail sectors.

  • Flexibility to travel and stay away during the week as required (accommodation and travel covered).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential

  • CSCS (Black/Gold card preferred)

  • First Aid at Work certification – Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence

Must Have:

  • Experience with fit out projects.

  • Joinery or trade background is essential.
