We are looking for a skilled and proactive Service Engineer to join a global leader with a manufacturing facility near Leeds. This is a field based Service Engineer role where you will support technical teams and customers across a wide range of industrial environments. This role suits a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys travelling (UK and International), delivering high-quality technical support, and working directly with end-users to keep complex equipment operating at its best. As a Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring reliable system performance, smooth installations, and exceptional customer experience.
Service Engineer - Role & Responsibilities – Field Service Engineer / Field Engineer / Installation / Mechanical / Electrical
- Installing and commissioning a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment on customer sites
- Performing preventive and reactive maintenance
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
- Providing on-site and remote customer training
- Completing accurate service reports and technical documentation
- Supporting product improvements by feeding back technical insights
Service Engineer - Skills & Experience - Field Service Engineer / Field Engineer / Installation / Mechanical / Electrical
- Recognised mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering qualification
- Proven experience working as a service engineer in a field-based engineering role
- Competence with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical fitting
- Familiarity with PLC interfaces (Siemens/Allen-Bradley) is highly beneficial
- Confident working independently on customer sites across varied environments
- Comfortable travelling across the UK and internationally when required
