Estimator / Senior Estimator - Geotechnical Engineering

Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Senior Estimator to join our team based in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing achievable and profitable work for the company by building and maintaining strong networks with clients, subcontractors, and industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key contacts to secure a strong and sustainable pipeline of work.
  • Review and assess tender documentation, ensuring that bids are accurate, competitive, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Assimilate and analyse large volumes of information efficiently and accurately to prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet tight deadlines in a high-demand environment.
  • Support the bid and project delivery teams by providing accurate cost and commercial information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, contract conditions, and pricing trends relevant to the site investigation sector.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience within the site investigation industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the different contract conditions used within the sector (advantageous).
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.

    • Senior Estimator: 44,000 - 50,000
