My client are a national civil engineering business. They are looking to onboard a works manager to help deliver a infrastructure and highway scheme being delivered in Yorkshire. The scope of works you will be responsible for managing will include earthworks, utilities and highway works.
Works manager responsibilities:
- Develop details work plans in line with project deadlines.
- Managing and allocating plant, labour and materials.
- Oversee day to day site operations.
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance to specification and RAMS.
- Coordinating with the project manager and commercial team.
- Maintain detailed site records.
- Address technical issues on site and provide solutions.
- Managing health and safety.
- Attending progress meetings.
- Liaising with the client, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
Works manager requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- CSCS card.
- SMSTS.
- First aid.
- EUSR 1 & 2.
- Previous experience in works managers role.
- Experience and knowledge or earthworks and or highways.
- Full UK driving licence.
