Production Manager

Production Manager / Fabrication Manager or Supervisor - Alumnium Glazing & Doors.

Location:Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 per annum (DOE) plus Pension.

Product Knowledge:Fabrication of Aluminium Glazing, Curtain Wall and Doors.

The Company:

The company is a successfulAluminium Glazing and Door fabricator based in the Leeds, West Yorkshirearea. The company has been trading in the residential installersectorfor many years and is now looking for a Production Manager orFabricating Manager /Supervisor to join their teamandoversee ateam of window & door fabricators.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of fabricators, general factory staff and a delivery/logistics team.
• Upholdingfabrication quality levels, production time schedules, delivery &production safety.
• Ensuring all manufacture and assembly is carried out in accordance with job sheets, working drawings and specifications.
• Stock control and procurement duties.
• Implmenting business improvements across the manufacturing department.
• Liaising with design, sales and purchasing departments providing manufacturingprogress reports.
• The Production/Fabricating Managerwill be responsible for ensuring all production is carried out in line with the company procedures and policy.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Candidates must have previous experience fabricating residentialAluminium glazing and doors.
• Have a commercial understanding and appreciationforthe fabricationof architectural building products including quality and delivery expectations.
• Experience with producingcutting lists and cuttingmaterials on general fabrication machinery from working drawings.
• Must be able to read and work from basicCAD drawings and have a good knowledge of basic engineering.
• Have team management, quality control, production planning and health & safety experience.
• Be able to lead ateamusing own initiative.
• At least 3years minimum fabrication managment or supervisoryexperience overseeing a fabrication and delivery team.
• Maintain a clean, safeand organised work area to facilitate assembly functions.
• A presentable indervidual with good punctuality and time keeping is a must.
• Good communication skills with the confidence toliaise with a range of colleagues and customers across various levels of seniority.
