European Road Freight forwarder
Location: Morley, Leeds
Salary: up to 35k (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours

We are seeking a European Road Freight Forwarder to join our clients busy team in Morley, Leeds. In this role, you'll support the senior operators in managing the planning and execution of European road freight movements. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning groupage, full loads, and express deliveries to and from European destinations

  • Support the allocation of domestic collections and deliveries to in-house teams and third-party hauliers

  • Interact with round-trip drivers and overseas agents

  • Help source international transport equipment and negotiate with hauliers

  • Manage and update operational data and documentation

  • Handle customer queries and provide timely operational updates

  • Support customs clearance processes, including export/import declarations, GVMS, and NCTS

  • Monitor and report on client KPIs

  • Assist with providing spot quotations and preparing files for invoicing

What We're Looking For:

You don't need experience in freight or logistics to apply - your attitude is what matters most. If you're organised, proactive, and ready to learn, we'll provide all the training and support you need.

Ideal (but not essential) qualities include:

  • Interest in European road freight or transport operations

  • Basic understanding of customs procedures

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Word)

  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues

  • Commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset
