About the Opportunity:Search is recruiting for a skilled Metal Sheet Fabricator (Welder) to join a well-established fabrication company based in Leeds. This temp-to-perm role offers long-term career prospects, competitive pay, and the opportunity for overtime.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, including MIG/TIG welding, sanding, guillotine operation, and assembly. You'll be part of a hardworking and supportive team, producing high-quality metal components to specification.
Key Duties:* Fabricating sheet metal from technical drawings* Performing MIG and TIG welding* Sanding and finishing parts to a high standard* Operating a guillotine and other fabrication tools* Assembling fabricated components* Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy* Following all health and safety proceduresCandidate Requirements:* Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding* Confident in sanding, guillotine operation, and assembly* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings* High attention to detail and craftsmanship* Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment* Team player with a good work ethic
Benefits:* £16.00 - £17.50 per hour, depending on experience* 39-hour work week with early finish on Fridays* Overtime available* Weekly pay through Search* Temp-to-perm with long-term potential
