About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor with a Maths specialism to work full-time in a vibrant and diverse secondary school in Bradford. This temporary role is available to start ASAP, offering an exciting opportunity to build your classroom experience while contributing to pupils' academic success in Maths and across the curriculum.

Essential Requirements:
  • A Level 3 qualification or higher is essential; a Maths specialism is highly desirable.
  • A genuine interest in education and working with secondary-aged pupils.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Maths up to GCSE level.
  • Clear communication and confident presentation.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, ensuring a constructive learning environment.
  • Support students with their Maths work when required.
  • Promote high standards of numeracy and encourage problem-solving.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student participation and progress.
  • Assist in the preparation of resources for Maths and other subjects.
  • Work closely with teaching and support staff.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Monitor student engagement and intervene when necessary.
  • Respond to questions and support students with tasks.
  • Cover lessons across various subject areas as needed.
