Sr. ICM Hydraulic Network Modeller - Job Description

We have openings for Senior ICM Hydraulic Network Modeller with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in ICM Hydraulic Network Modelling.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out the ICM Hydraulic Network Modelling for UK Water projects.

You will be working under the direction of the Team Manager, Project Managers and Lead Design Engineers.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or another related field
  • Must be able to demonstrate a good practical knowledge and understanding of InfoWorks ICM.
  • Must have experience of working for a UK Water Company
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience modelling and designing engineering schemes.
  • Must have experience of using GIS (ARCGIS, MapInfo or QGIS)
  • Competent in the use of MS Word and Excel

Principal Duties and Main Activities

  • Candidate will be responsible for utilising Infoworks ICM models to assess system performance and identify effective solutions to resolve identified deficiencies ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and UK best practice.

Core Duties.

  • Assess hydraulic models of urban drainage networks (foul and surface water systems) using Infoworks ICM.
  • Conduct capacity assessments using Infoworks ICM models.
  • Identify and develop solutions to resolve a range of urban drainage issues using Infoworks ICM.
  • Undertake hydraulic checks to confirm identified solutions comply with regulatory requirements, client specifications and UK best practice.
  • Work with client design teams to develop capital schemes.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Supervise, support and develop junior modelling staff.
