Governance Officer

We are currently working on behalf of a social housing provider to recruit to a Governance Officer on an initial interim basis. Some home working will be available, with travel required to their central Leeds office when required.
Responsibilities of the Governance Officer:
- Assisting with the delivery of governance services through advising and supporting the organisations Board and Committee members, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements
- Setting agenda points for Directors and Chairs
- Managing report submissions and circulating meetings minutes and papers
- Ensuring meetings are ran smoothly
- Producing meeting minutes
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with Committee and Board members
- Supporting the organisation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and chosen code of governance
- Providing support with Governance Reviews and in-depth regulatory assessments
- Providing advice and support to the wider organisation with regards to governance
- Drafting and submitting governance reports
Requirements of the Governance Officer:
- Experience of providing governance services within the housing sector
