  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective EYFS lessons.
  • Providing individual and small group support to pupils, assisting with planned learning activities.
  • Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation, creating a stimulating learning environment.
  • Supporting children's social and emotional development, fostering positive relationships.
  • Communicating effectively with the class teacher, support staff, and parents/carers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress.
  • Adhering to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding guidelines.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and curriculum.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3).
