This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dedicated and supportive team, making a significant contribution to the learning and development of young children in a welcoming and inclusive Reception classroom.Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective EYFS lessons.
- Providing individual and small group support to pupils, assisting with planned learning activities.
- Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation, creating a stimulating learning environment.
- Supporting children's social and emotional development, fostering positive relationships.
- Communicating effectively with the class teacher, support staff, and parents/carers.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress.
- Adhering to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding guidelines.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and curriculum.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3).
