We have a new permanent opportunity as a Materials Controller based in Leeds to work for a key engineering client of ours.

As a Materials Controller you will be on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern and on a salary of 29225 which increases to 30426 upon completion of probation. In this shift pattern your shifts consist of 2 days and 2 nights

Core Responsibilities for a Materials Controller would be:
  • Day to Day processing including but not exclusive to issuing components to vehicles in both physical form and in AMS, consumable stock checks, ordering fuel and PPE checks
  • Receiving Goods In as required. Ensure all goods are receipted in both AMS and eProcurement
  • Manage all Materials requests from other depots for Material, including the booking of couriers and transferring of material on AMS as required.
  • Repairable & Core material processing, including all paperwork required for Suppliers.
  • Participate in quarterly stock counts including physical counts and administration tasks.
  • Liaise with suppliers as required.
  • Ensure pre use checks on tooling and equipment is completed.
  • Participate in all relevant training and competency assessments that the post holder is nominated to complete.
  • Attend safety/quality and technical briefings as required.
  • Undertake general duties relative to cleanliness of all Stores Areas.
  • Any other Ad Hoc tasks as requested.

Experience for a Materials Controller:
  • Experience in a Stores Department in an engineering environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good AMS and eProcurement system knowledge and understanding
