Our client based in Leeds due to a period of continued growth are looking to appoint a Machine Shop Supervisor who will focus their time on the shop floor implementing continuous improvement strategies and driving individual performance. Any experience with Solidworks would bode very well for this role. The successful Machine Shop Supervisor will be a high level communicator and have the ability to work well with operatives all the way to senior leadership.

Machine Shop Supervisor - Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with production to reduce lead times, improve tooling and changeovers, and drive greater performance from existing staff
  • Experience using solidworks
  • Increase OEE and reduce machine downtime.
  • Implement continuous improvement
  • Make improvements to processes and production techniques.

Machine Shop Supervisor - Skills and Abilities:

  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge. Six Sigma training preferred but not essential
  • HND/Degree qualified in Production or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge of high volume manufacturing
