We are recruiting for a Lead Pensions Administrator to join a well-established, dynamic business based in Leeds City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the pensions and payroll team while enjoying flexible hybrid working (typically 2 days per week in the office).

Description

Pensions Lead - The Role:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of pensions administration and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Handle end-to-end payroll processing, including manual calculations (critical for complex cases such as back-pay, deductions, or adjustments).

  • Act as the subject matter expert on pensions and payroll queries, providing advice and support to employees and senior management.

  • Review and manage pension scheme administration, ensuring accurate contributions, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Support, coach, and oversee a small team, offering leadership and guidance to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

  • Liaise with external providers, HMRC, and other stakeholders as required.

  • Drive improvements and efficiencies across payroll and pensions processes.

Profile

Pensions Lead - What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll, including manual calculations (essential).

  • Solid understanding of pensions administration processes and compliance.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.

  • Experience in mentoring or overseeing team members, with a collaborative leadership style.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to wider HR and finance initiatives.

  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and pensions systems and Microsoft Office.
