Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading utilities contractor, on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be working on-site from our client's Reading office, in which you will be working on a variety of projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, civil, and water, as a valued member of a skilled and motivated team.

-Competitive day rate ranging from 450-500 (depending on experience)

-Hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities:

-Compose budgets, cost plans, valuations, and tender documents throughout the entirety of the project.

-Oversee the project's procurement, cost control, and contract administration.

-Manage project budgets, identify financial risks, and manage cash flow reporting.

- Offer practical cost advice and identify value engineering opportunities throughout the project.

-Attend site inspections and client meetings if or when required.

What We Are Looking For:

-Qualified in Quantity Surveying (at a degree level), or a related field.

-Prior extensive experience in a related role, ideally within the Water sector

-Proficient in cost planning and reporting tools.

-Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple on-going projects.

-A professional and proactive approach to customer care.
