About the Role

Due to increasing workload following a successful year, we are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction team.

Our client is a nationwide construction contractor specialising in commercial and residential projects across the UK, with project values typically ranging from £500k to £12m.

The successful candidate will manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, working closely with project teams to ensure commercial success and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project cost management and financial control
  • Monthly financial reporting and forecasting
  • Contract administration and compliance
  • Supplier and subcontractor negotiations
  • Change order management and variations
  • Final account preparations and settlements
  • Client liaison and progress meetings
  • Risk assessment and mitigation

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in main contractor commercial management
  • Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts (JCT/NEC)
  • Experience working for a main contractor on construction projects
  • Proficiency in construction software and Excel
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Full UK driving license
