Our client are looking for a knowledgeable and client-focused professional to join their team as a Group Risk & Private Medical Insurance Adviser. In this role, you will provide high-quality advice to clients on a range of employee benefits, including Group Risk products (Group Life, Group Income Protection, and Group Critical Illness) and Private Medical Insurance (PMI), as well as related products such as cash plans and dental schemes. Your advice and service will adhere to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules and EFS internal procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Stay informed of market trends, new products, and legislative or regulatory changes
- Adhere to EFS compliance procedures and Training & Competence Scheme
- Comply with the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000 and FCA's Senior Managers & Certification Regime
- Demonstrate awareness of key FCA initiatives, such as Consumer Duty
Specific Responsibilities
- Deliver advisory services to both new and existing clients on Group Risk and PMI products-including renewals, rebrokes, and technical queries-with full administrative support
- (Optional) Get involved in advising on Group Personal Pension plans
- Build and manage strong relationships with corporate clients and product providers
- Identify potential new clients and assess their needs through comprehensive fact-finding and research
- Develop suitable recommendations based on client needs, supported by the Corporate Services Admin Team
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with EFS standards
- Provide a high level of client service, ensuring timely delivery of agreed service levels
- Collaborate with existing professional connections and develop new ones to uncover business opportunities
- Maintain Competent status in line with FCA and EFS standards
- Meet the performance targets set out in the Key Performance Indicators of the EFS Training & Competence Scheme
- Identify and undertake appropriate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support your role and ongoing competency
- Carry out any other reasonable duties relevant to the role
