We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Recruitment & Placements Officer / Manager to lead efforts in recruiting, assessing, and approving high-quality foster carers across Yorkshire and Lancashire.
This is a unique role that will draw upon your sales skills to drive foster carers into our business – there are many myths around who can be a foster carer and we need you to make sure that we reach as many people as possible to cover what it really takes to be a foster carer! This is an exciting time to join our company and after 3 years we are ready to take the next step in ensuring our small and friendly team grows alongside the company.
About the Role
Reporting to the Service Development Manager, this role is central to both the recruitment of foster carers and the placement of children. You’ll manage the full recruitment pipeline—from generating enquiries and conducting home visits to coordinating assessments and supporting successful placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Organise events, campaigns, and outreach activities to promote fostering.
- Manage enquiries and guide applicants through the recruitment process.
- Conduct home visits and initial screenings.
- Coordinate Form F assessments and ensure all statutory checks are completed.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance digital outreach.
- Liaise with local authority placement teams to match children with suitable carers.
- Support placement logistics and ensure smooth transitions for children.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in recruitment, assessment coordination, or fostering/children’s social care.
- Strong understanding of the Form F assessment process and fostering regulations or willing to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Confident in conducting home visits and engaging with diverse communities after training.
- Proficient in CRM/case management systems and general IT tools.
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
