Job Title: Internal Sales & Account Manager (Construction/Earthworks/Aggregate)

The Role:
They are seeking a motivated and proactive Internal Sales & Account Manager to join their Leeds office. This role focuses on sales of their main product (a soil drying material) within the ground engineering, earthworks, and soil stabilisation sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and managing sales opportunities through telephone and email engagement, developing relationships with contractors, engineers, and procurement professionals to secure new business and grow existing accounts. This position will also carry responsibility for maintaining and updating all customer and sales activity within the company’s HERBST Insights sales management system, ensuring all leads, opportunities, and communications are accurately recorded and progressed.
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively contact potential and existing customers via phone and email to generate new enquiries and sales opportunities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across the Groundworks, Earthworks, and Soil Stabilisation sectors.

Take full ownership of sales leads from initial enquiry through to order placement, ensuring consistent follow-up and conversion.

Maintain the HERBST Insights CRM system, ensuring all engagements, opportunities, and customer details are accurately logged and up to date.

Support the wider team by providing insight into lead activity, market trends, and customer needs.

Collaborate closely with the Director of Strategic Growth to align internal sales efforts with broader business strategies.

Provide administrative support for quotations, sample requests, and product information distribution.

Contribute to a positive and proactive office environment, representing the their ethos of innovation, integrity, and collaboration.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within construction, civil engineering, or materials supply.
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple leads and maintain accurate CRM data.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a desire to develop within a growing business.
- Understanding of the earthworks, stabilisation, or aggregates sector would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in CRM systems or sales management software (experience with HERBST Insights is a bonus but not essential).
