Assistant Bar Manager
Location: Crowded House, Trinity Centre
Reports to: Bar Manager
As the Assistant Bar Manager, you will be the aiding the Bar Manager as a driving force behind the bar's daily operations, ensuring every guest experiences exceptional service, quality drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. You will lead and inspire your team, maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency, and play a key role in menu development, stock management and staff training.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Management:
Ongoing training & motivation for the bar team, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain high standards.
Lead by example, providing hands-on support during operational hours.
Take the lead on improving and developing the bar team
Bar Operations and Efficiency:
Hold the team to account on daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure the bar is always clean, well-stocked and organised.
Monitor and maintain quality control over drink preparation and presentation.
Implement effective bar maintenance routines, including line cleaning and cellar management.
Cocktail Menu Development:
Collaborate with the team to create innovative cocktails and seasonal drink menus, which are unique, niche, seasonal & on brand with Crowded House.
Monitor industry trends and customer preferences to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Plan and execute specials & bespoke cocktails when necessary.
Customer Experience and Sales:
Ensure every guest receives exceptional service, from the first welcome to the final goodbye.
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Promote a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat business and guest loyalty.
Proven experience as a Bar Supervisor or similar role in a high-volume site.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Creative flair for cocktail creation and menu design.
