European Road Freight Forwarder
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to 35,000
We are working with a leading logistics provider who is seeking an experienced European Road Freight Forwarder to join their growing team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven experience in road freight operations to further develop their career with a highly respected business.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate European road freight shipments (both full and part loads).
Source, negotiate, and liaise with hauliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive rates and service levels.
Oversee the end-to-end transport process, ensuring shipments are delivered on time and to customer requirements.
Prepare and manage relevant freight documentation and customs requirements.
Track and monitor consignments, resolving any issues proactively.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.
Requirements:
Previous experience in European road freight forwarding is essential.
Strong understanding of European transport networks and customs processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in transport management systems (TMS) and MS Office applications.
Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
