Accounts Senior
Leeds City Centre - No hybrid working, full time office based role

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday (8:30pm – 5pm, 4pm finish on Fridays)
  • Permanent position
  • £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

The Role

This Accounts Senior role is all about managing your own portfolio of clients and delivering accurate, timely financial statements and tax computations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage your own portfolio of clients
  • Prepare draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and companies
  • Complete draft business tax computations for review by the tax manager
  • Assist partners with client finalisation meetings
  • Handle day-to-day file management and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare highlight documentation for client meetings
  • Prepare ad-hoc management accounts
  • Communicate with clients and resolve bookkeeping and tax queries
  • Delegate or escalate queries to the appropriate team members
  • Support junior staff by answering queries and reviewing their work
  • Plan your workload and manage deadlines effectively
  • Record and track billable hours to ensure recoverability

  • Relevant practice experience essential with appropriate professional or part qualified qualification essential

  • A team-player attitude, with a willingness to support and mentor colleagues
