Sales Account Manager

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Full-time: 8:30 - 17:00 Monday - Friday

Are you a motivated salesperson with a passion for building strong client relationships and driving business growth? We're looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our team in Leeds and help us continue to grow our presence within the construction sector.

About the Role

As a Sales Account Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients within the construction industry, managing relationships from initial enquiry through to ongoing account development. You'll combine your sales skills with excellent customer service to maximise revenue, retain clients, and identify new opportunities for growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing relationships with existing construction sector clients.
  • Generating new business through proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Preparing quotations, tenders, and sales proposals to meet client requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.
  • Meeting and exceeding individual and team sales targets.
  • Providing regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports to management.

About You

We're seeking a confident, results-driven individual who thrives on achieving targets and delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' proven sales experience, ideally within construction, building materials, or a related B2B environment.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Commercially minded, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities.
  • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
