Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Assistant
Location: Leeds, UK (on-site)
Salary: 14-18 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 25-30 hours per week
Overview:
An established organisation in Leeds is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Accounts Assistant to manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support senior management. This role offers flexible working hours within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Sage)
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax filings
- Support payroll processing and pension contributions
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
Requirements:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role
- Proficiency in Sage (experience with SAP is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Familiarity with UK accounting standards and VAT regulations
- AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
