Are you the kind of person who keeps systems running smoothly and numbers where they should be? Great.
If you know you understand the importance of well-managed finances, you might be exactly who this business are looking for.
This is a fast-growing business that needs someone practical, reliable, and organised to support both finance and operations. You won't be stuck doing the same repetitive tasks each day. Instead, you'll play an important role in making sure the back office runs efficiently, and nothing slips through the cracks.
This role is ideal for someone who understands why accuracy matters, why cash flow needs attention, and why chasing debt is about more than just sending a reminder email.
What you'll be doing:
- Using Xero confidently to handle bank reconciliations, raise invoices, allocate payments, and follow up on overdue accounts
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate, up-to-date figures
- Maintaining clean financial records, free from duplication or errors
- Assisting with operational tasks such as timesheet reviews, HR admin, and the occasional internal presentation
- Communicating directly with clients, suppliers, and colleagues to resolve issues and keep things moving
- Working independently, using sound judgment and a strong sense of ownership
What you'll bring to the role:
- A background in finance, accounting, or business operations
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and confidence with numbers
- AAT qualification or you're currently working towards one (or similar)
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach to work
- The ability to balance a range of responsibilities across finance and operations
- A preference for practical solutions over unnecessary complexity
You won't be micromanaged. You won't be expected to stay late. And you won't waste your time in endless meetings.
Instead, you'll be trusted to do meaningful work in a grown-up environment where your contribution makes a difference.
