Are you a creative and committed Design Technology teacher ready to shape the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators? Veritas Education is looking for an energetic Design Technology Teacher to join an inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds. The Role:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for KS5 depending on experience
- Teach a range of DT specialisms (e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics or Textiles)
- Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and school ethos
- Foster a positive learning environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged
- Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the Design Technology curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student progress tracking
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification
- Degree in Design Technology or related subject
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (NQTs/ECTs also welcome)
- Strong subject knowledge across multiple DT disciplines
- Passion for education and commitment to student development
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
