English Teacher

Reed Education, in partnership with our Leeds based Secondary School client, is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their thriving English Department from September 2025. This is an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for literature and language.
• Plan, prepare, and teach engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and improve student outcomes.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular activities.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in English or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching English at secondary level is desirable but not essential for exceptional candidates.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success.
• A proactive and flexible approach to working in a team-oriented environment.
