The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Foster a love of literature and language in a diverse and dynamic classroom
  • Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff
  • Support students' progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where possible

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for the subject and commitment to student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
