We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in the LS26 area to appoint a Head of Geography, with the role starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled Geography teacher to lead a committed department and contribute to the school’s ongoing success.
As Head of Geography, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting the professional growth of your team, and driving high standards of teaching and learning.
The school has a strong focus on academic achievement, and students are enthusiastic, well-behaved, and eager to learn.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Geography
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Previous leadership experience is desirable, but experienced teachers with strong leadership potential will also be considered
- A proven track record of securing excellent outcomes for students
- A passion for Geography and a commitment to delivering high-quality education
- A collaborative approach and a desire to contribute positively to the school community
