Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and IT (GCSE level)
  • Proven experience teaching students with SEND needs (essential)
  • Experience in delivering Functional Skills and alternative accreditations is highly valued
  • A proven ability to engage students who may have struggled in mainstream settings
  • Strong behaviour management skills, founded in empathy and positive relationships
  • Commitment to closing the attainment gap and promoting lifelong learning skills
  • Full understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
  • Ability to work in the UK without SPONSORSHIP
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one through Randstad.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across Maths and IT curricula
  • Develop engaging, practical, and applied learning opportunities wherever possible
  • Prepare students for a range of accredited outcomes, from Functional Skills to GCSEs
  • Use adaptive teaching strategies to support all learners, including those with additional needs
  • Monitor student progress closely, setting achievable and aspirational goals
  • Collaborate with wider teaching and pastoral teams to remove barriers to learning
  • Contribute to the digital literacy and numeracy development across the wider school
