Secondary Cover Teacher

The Role:

Veritas Education are on the search for cover teachers to join their secondary supply team across the Leeds area. We are looking for passionate, committed and reliable teachers who are ready to support our partnership schools!

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned work across a range of different secondary age groups and subjects.
• Along side teaching assistants and support staff, manage behaviour across the classroom, following schools' behaviour policies.
• Create an engaging, structured and inclusive learning environment for all students to access their education and develop.
• Be responsible for supervising students during short-term teacher absences, assisting with the preparation and delivery of the lesson content and materials.
• Depending on the length of the cover required, be open to plan and mark work completed by varying classes.

Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status
• Previous experience in a cover teacher-based roles
• Confident working across a number of schools and classes, delivering pre-set work within different subjects.
