We are seeking a passionate and imaginative Art and Design Teacher to join our dynamic team at a forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds. About the role:

As our Art and Design Teacher, you'll deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to GCSE curriculum planning and extra-curricular enrichment. Your role will be to encourage artistic expression, develop technical skills, and foster a deep appreciation for visual culture among our diverse student community.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, innovative art and design lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to explore a range of media, techniques, and artistic movements.
  • Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support students in developing portfolios for GCSE assessment and potential post-16 pathways.
  • Contribute to the wider creative life of the school through clubs, exhibitions, and events.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised studio environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Art, Design, or a related creative discipline.
