Teacher of Humanities (Geography/History)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join an academic team at a secondary school in Leeds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects within the Humanities discipline, including History, Geography, Social Studies, and Cultural Studies. The teacher will inspire students through engaging lessons, critical thinking exercises, and interactive learning experiences that foster an appreciation for the Humanities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and deliver high-quality lessons in Humanities subjects aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion and inquiry.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, group discussions, project-based learning, and multimedia resources.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, analytical, and research skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Humanities, History, Geography, Education, or a related field.
- Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
