Teacher of Mathematics - North Leeds

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a dynamic and supportive Mathematics department at a thriving 11-18 secondary school in North Yorkshire. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching available for the right candidate)Plan, deliver and assess lessons that support all students to make progress and achieve their potential
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and schemes of learning within the department
  • Support the wider life of the school through involvement in enrichment and intervention programmes
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, organisation and planning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive improvement and share best practice

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
  • Passion for mathematics education and the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in learners
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across a range of mathematical topics
  • A commitment to inclusive teaching and meeting the needs of all learners
  • A reflective practitioner with a growth mindset and willingness to develop professionally
