Academics are currently working alongside a school in North Leeds who are looking for a Textiles teacher to start as soon as possible and will run until further notice. Previous Ofsted reports have praised the school for setting high behaviour expectations and for being able to provide support to SEND pupils.
Responsibilities as a Textiles teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
- Track student's progression and provide constructive feedback to help them develop their skills.
- Share ideas with other members in the Textiles department in order to further develop the curriculum.
- Create a structured and safe learning environment.

Requirements for the Textiles teacher role:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Right to work in the UK
- A relevant qualification related to Textiles
- Behaviour management skills with the ability to control the classroom
- DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
