About the RoleWe are seeking a part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to start as soon as possible in a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting student achievement, both in and out of the classroom.

Requirements
- should have a minimum of Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, or equivalent.
- A good understanding of child development and learning strategies
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
- Delivering learning activities to individuals, groups, or whole classes under the direction of teaching staff
- Assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEND)
- Monitoring student progress and feeding back to teachers
- Supporting behaviour management strategies in class
- Providing pastoral care and emotional support to students
- Creating engaging resources and teaching aids
- Supporting students with homework or revision
- Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies where required
- Upholding safeguarding procedures and policies
