Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30 | Friday Early Finish at 15:30 (39 hours per week)
About the Opportunity:
Search is recruiting for a skilled Metal Sheet Fabricator (Welder) to join a well-established fabrication company based in Leeds. This temp-to-perm role offers long-term career prospects, competitive pay, and the opportunity for overtime.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, including MIG/TIG welding, sanding, guillotine operation, and assembly. You'll be part of a hardworking and supportive team, producing high-quality metal components to specification.
Key Duties:
* Fabricating sheet metal from technical drawings
* Performing MIG and TIG welding
* Sanding and finishing parts to a high standard
* Operating a guillotine and other fabrication tools
* Assembling fabricated components
* Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy
* Following all health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding
* Confident in sanding, guillotine operation, and assembly
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* High attention to detail and craftsmanship
* Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Team player with a good work ethic
Benefits:
* 16.00 - 17.50 per hour, depending on experience
* 39-hour work week with early finish on Fridays
* Overtime available
