Slitter Operator – Leeds
£13 - 14 per hour starting rate plus bonus scheme based on output
Shifts: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm rotating
A well established and forward thinking packaging manufacturer in Leeds is looking for an experienced Slitter Operator to join their production team. The company supplies high quality flexible packaging solutions to a wide range of industries and has an excellent reputation for both service and innovation.
The Role
As a Slitter Operator, you will play a key part in the production process, ensuring materials are cut and prepared to exact customer specifications while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate slitting machines to convert large rolls of material into finished rolls
Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet customer standards
Monitor and maintain machine performance, reporting any issues promptly
Ensure accurate labelling, packaging and dispatch of finished rolls
Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
Work towards output targets with the opportunity to earn bonus payments based on performance
What They Are Looking For:
Previous experience in a slitting, rewinding or similar machine operator role within packaging, print or manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow production schedules
Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm
What Is On Offer:
