Job Opportunity: Housing Support WorkerÂ

- Full-time | 37 hours per week, day shifts
- Salary: £24,655.81 + weekend enhancements
- 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 after 2 years)
Join our client's dedicated team—supporting young people aged 16–25, including care leavers, as they take their first steps into independent living.Â
As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping young people build confidence, develop life skills, and maintain safe, stable housing. You’ll work closely with individuals in both a shared four-bed property and nearby community units, offering tailored 1-to-1 support up to three times a week.
Key aspects of the role:
- Manage a caseload of young people, providing consistent, person-centred support.
- Promote independence and help individuals navigate challenges in their transition to adulthood.
- Ensure safeguarding and risk management are always a priority.
- Work within a 24/7 service, including early, mid, and late shifts (including bank holidays).

Requirements:
- One year of experience working with children/young people
- Good verbal, written and numeracy skills sufficient to be able to make accurate written records
- The ability to support young people to identify need and risk and plan for positive goals and outcomes.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people in either a paid or voluntary capacity
- Has experience of or can demonstrate outstanding commitment and enthusiasm for working with young people from complex backgrounds who have experienced growing up in care
- To have a understanding of the impact of childhood trauma and poor mental wellbeing.
