Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work at a local secondary school in Leeds. 

This school caters for children aged 11-18 years old and this school’s most recent Ofsted report was presented as “Good” as it continues to be a warm and welcoming school where students can thrive.

The normal working pattern for this school is 8:30am to 3:30pm and would be a long-term role given a successful trial day.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Have experience working in a transferable role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Some experience working with or alongside pupils that have SEND
  • A compassionate, resilient and patient personality
  • A great understanding of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people
  • Be familiar with some tailored interventions and programmes that are used to support children and young people.
