Lead Software Engineer

Central Leeds, 2 days on site per week

£55,000- £65,000 per annum & benefits

We are currently recruiting for a rapidly growing Cybersecurity solutions provider for the role of Lead Software Engineer. What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance, scalable, and reliable software across the full stack, ensuring optimal quality and performance of cybersecurity products
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration within the engineering team and other departments to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions that align with business objectives
  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering their technical expertise and supporting their professional growth in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives in product development, ensuring seamless integration of new solutions into the existing ecosystem

Main Skills/ Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Software Development and Design, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring efficient, streamlined development processes
  • Proficient in .NET and React, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining robust applications
  • Previous experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading small development teams is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to technologies such AWS EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, or SQL is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, TypeScript, MySQL, and Linux would be desirable
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, smaller technical business environment is advantageous
